Patient M

This gentleman underwent a complex septorhinoplasty procedure to both improve the breathing and the external appearance of the nose.  Male profiles need to be a little stronger, generally with a straight line rather than a gentle concave curve in women.

The tip also needs to at approximately 90 degrees to the upper lip as more rotation can feminise male features.  My patient had a so called ‘hanging columella’ area under the tip which was corrected to leave a natural appearance, reflecting his masculinity.

Judging how much to lift the bottom of the tip was particularly challenging but on balance, I think we have got it just right and, most importantly, my patient is really pleased as per his recent 5 star review on RealSelf.  A relatively early result at about 2 months that can only improve with time and the skin continues to shrink wrap and provide further definition with time.
