At Symmetry Clinic, we offer specialist nose reduction surgery in London, tailored to help patients achieve facial harmony through precise nose size reduction. Whether you’re looking to reduce the overall size of your nose, smooth out a hump, or refine the nasal tip, this highly personalised procedure is performed by one of the UK’s most respected facial plastic surgeons using advanced techniques and state-of-the-art technology.
What is Nose Reduction Surgery?
Nose reduction surgery, often referred to as reduction rhinoplasty, is a procedure that reshapes and reduces the size of the nose to better suit the proportions of the face. This may include narrowing the bridge, reducing the tip, adjusting nostril width, or addressing concerns such as a dorsal hump.
Performed by our award-winning Consultant Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgeon, Mr Santdeep Paun, this rhinoplasty surgery is designed with precision and artistry to enhance your natural features. Using 3D imaging and years of experience, we create a bespoke treatment plan that reflects your goals and facial structure.

Benefits of Nose Size Reduction
Reducing the size of the nose offers more than cosmetic refinement—it can significantly improve overall facial balance and, in some cases, breathing function. Benefits include:
- Creating better proportions between the nose and other facial features
- Reducing the appearance of a prominent or wide nasal bridge
- Refining a bulbous or drooping tip
- Achieving a smoother side profile by removing a nasal hump
- Addressing asymmetry and improving overall facial harmony
- Enhancing nasal airflow if breathing issues are present
Who is a Good Candidate for Nose Reduction Rhinoplasty?
Reduction rhinoplasty is suitable for individuals who feel that their nose is too large or out of proportion with their face. You may be a good candidate if:
- You are unhappy with the size or shape of your nose
- You have a wide, long, or prominent nose
- You are in good general health and over the age of 18
- Your facial development is complete
- You have realistic expectations of the outcome
- You are considering revision surgery following a previous rhinoplasty
We also welcome patients travelling from outside London or abroad and offer bespoke concierge services. Our team regularly assists with hotel arrangements, local transport, and recovery planning.

Our Process: From Consultation to Results
Consultation
Your journey begins with an in-depth consultation with Mr Santdeep Paun. We take time to understand your goals, examine your nasal anatomy, and use 3D imaging to visualise possible outcomes. This ensures that your expectations are aligned with what’s surgically possible.
Surgery
The procedure is carried out at one of our partner hospitals in London under general anaesthetic. Depending on your specific needs, either an open or closed surgical technique may be used. Surgery generally takes between two to three hours and can be combined with other functional procedures if necessary.
Recovery
Most patients return home the same day or after a short overnight stay. A splint is worn for approximately one week, with most bruising and swelling subsiding within 10 to 14 days. Most people return to work within two weeks. You’ll receive full aftercare guidance and support throughout your recovery.
Results
While early improvements will be visible within the first few weeks, it can take up to 12 months for the final result to settle. You can expect a smaller, more refined nose that feels in balance with your features and maintains a natural look.
